unfortunately i dont know the species of that butterfly,but what i can tell you is that i like your image a lot.
Very nice composed und fine colors and sharpness.

Hi Remy,

congrats on the discovery of the butterfly beauty. Perfect focus on the eyes in the first one, although some light on the eyes is missing. I prefer the second pic because of the integration of the butterfly's natural surrounding, and its scale. But to be honest, in my opinion there are some elements disturbing the brilliance of the butterfly, e.g. the grass heads crossing the its wings, the sharp twigs on the right side.

Don't worry. I know it's a certain kind of feeling to show the first impression of a year. I'm very much looking forward to see the typical Remy shots showing insects in special places with very impressing light.

Mir gefällt dein erstes Bild etwas besser aufgrund des ABM.
Offenflügelbilder von Bläulingen gelingen mir selten,
deines ist sehr schön geworden.
Den Schärfeverlauf finde ich wunderbar gelungen.

Hi Remy,

again... i can't choose a favorite. Both are excellent.
Nr. 2 is fine, but the grass seed head in the front is a little
pitty, but thats high level gripe...

two nice pictures. My favorite one is the first. Clear colours and
good composition. But the second one is fine, too.

The species is Aricia cramera, found in south europe and the mediterranean islands.
Some people handle it as a subspecies of Aricia agestis (kleiner Sonnenröschen Bläuling) others
as own species. By the way, the appearance is nearly the same. Sometimes they differs a bit in the behavior
of the orange dotted line at the end of the wings, which has less spaces at A. cramera.

I like both pictures.

Willkommen zurück und das gleich mit zwei
herrlichen Bilder,wo jedes seine Reize hat,
Bild zwei ist mein Favorit,weil Du da
das Umfeld so gut mit einbezogen hast.

Hi Remy,

zwei sehr schöne BIlder, von denen auch
das zweite mein Favorit ist. Nicht nur wegen der
Einbeziehung des Umfeldes.
Das erste ist mir etwas zu rechtslastig und der
dunkle Bereich rechts oben stört mich ein wenig.
Die tiefe Perspektive mit den offenen
Flügeln mag ich sehr. Beim ersten ist am linken Flügel ein
kleiner Schärfungsrand.
Trotzdem zwei Bilder, die ich sehr mag.
