Hi,
Another dragonfly metamorphosis, i finally found the place where it takes place so i have tried to do my best to make good shots. Unfortunately the terrain was hard and 'messy', water everywhere, i had to take my boots off and try without them, laying mostly in the water. It was an experience i've never had before but it was worth trying. The second issue was the hard light as the metamorphosis started around 7.30 am when the sun is high enough to give the type of light we macrophotographers usually dont like. To make a light a little bit softer i used the plastic bag to cover the model from the direct sunlight and additionally i used a white piece of paper to enlight the insect from the other side where there was a shadow. I think the result is really good, but i will try different technique in the next year.
Enjoy.
Michal

Hi Michal
Oh, that's great! I like the light colors and the rainbow-glow on the dragonfly! Also the composition: it is both, very natural with a strong artistic touch!
Technically impressive! I love it!
Regards!

Hi Michal
Amazing shot. You managed the whole situation perfectly. Never mind getting out of shoes
into messy water, as long as in the end such a picture can be shown. The light looks very special
and I'll remember the hint about the plastic bag and a sheet of white paper, to compose such a
fine light. You posed the motiv perfectly into the picture and I just love the transparency of the
dragonfly. Thanks for showing, I enjoyed it very much!
Kidn regards
